Trichoscopy
Trichoscopy is a dermatoscopy method for examining the skin of the hairy part of the head, hair follicles and hair shaft. This research method is completely painless, passes without skin trauma.
A phototrichogram is a version of a digital trichoscopy that allows to make an analysis of hair growth indicators:
- growth density per unit area
- the number of actively growing hairs (hair in the anagen phase) per 1 sq.cm, as well as in % of the total amount
- the number of hair follicles in the resting phase (telogen phase)
- the number of thick terminal hairs (normal hair) per 1 sq.cm, as well as in % of the total amount of hair
- the number of thin and vellus hairs.
